Miniot Launches New Wooden Cover For Apple's iPad mini

October 28, 2013
Miniot, the Holland-based wooden case maker, has a brand new cover available for Apple's iPad mini - just in time for the launch of the second-generation iDevice, next month. Called the Miniot Cover for iPad mini, the product is made from felt-lined 2.9 millimeter wood, which snaps onto the side of an iPad mini much like Apple's own Smart Covers. However, unlike Apple's Smart Cover, the Miniot Cover features a larger number of sections in its design, meaning users can "roll up" the cover in order to create a useful upright or table-top iPad mini stand. Customers may have their Miniot Cover engraved for free, and this can include a piece of text, a logo, or a picture. Cases are also available in five different wood species: walnut, cherry, mahogany, wenge, and louro faia. Miniot notes that all of its wood is obtained from well-managed forests and certified suppliers, and adds that it has an iPad Air cover in the works, too (we'll keep you updated on this front). If you're interested in purchasing a Miniot Cover for iPad mini, take a closer look at Miniot's website. Individual covers cost $79.00 and should take around seven weeks to reach the United States.
